Mainly Music: Dee Why @ Salvation Army Dee Why | Dee Why | New South Wales | Australia

Mainly Music is a program designed to provide an environment where pre-school children can develop skills to enhance their pre-school education through the use of music, rhythm, rhyme, movement, listening and more.

The Mainly Music program is a Christian-based program which was founded in New Zealand. We started running this program at Dee Why Salvation Army in 2010 and have since continued to grow in numbers and connect with families in our community.

Cost is just $10 per family per session.

This includes 1/2 hour music session plus children and parents morning tea.

“All you need to bring is a drink for your child”

Mainly Music Sessions

Each session offered is for approx 90min. Of this 90min session there is a thirty minute music program. During this time the children and parents will have the opportunity to learn, develop and have fun through music. There is also 30min allocated for kids morning tea which is supplied by us. We ask parents to supply drinks for their children. The last thirty minutes is free play, this will allow the children opportunity to create their own play, whilst giving the parents opportunity to have a chat over a cuppa and morning tea supplied by us.

IMPORTANT NOTICE – (Only when numbers exceed 65)

As of the 19th June 2012, our music sessions were split into two groups. Starting at 10am, the first group takes part in the music session in our main church hall, whilst the second group have kids morning tea in our youth hall. At approx 10.30am the second group swap with the first group. The first group have kids morning tea whilst the second group take part in the music session. Once the second music session is finished all the children have free play together in the youth hall. At this time the parents morning tea will be served allowing time for parents to catch up over a cuppa.

We have decided the fairest way to divide the groups is the first 50 to sign in, will do music and the remaining will have kids morning tea. If you wish to stay together with friends in the music session please organise to come together or meet outside so as you sign in together to ensure your in the same group. If you wish to be in the first group please come early as we will be starting at 10am sharp.

We apologise for any inconvenience, however due to growing numbers we found this to be the best solution so as to keep everyone at the same time slot.
